Fraser 8u Spring showdown - rules

Registration:

1. Team representatives (coaches or manager) must check in at the front desk before each game. Scoresheets and locker room assignments will be provided upon check in.

2. Game results, scores, standings will be posted on the main tournament board in the lobby.

Tournament Format:

6 Total Teams

4 Games Guaranteed

Top 4 teams make it to Semi-finals (points standings)

•1v4

•2v3

•(5v6 will play Consolation Game)

The two winning teams in the semis will advance to the finals

Win = 3pts

Overtime Win = 2 pts

Overtime Loss = 1 pt.

If game ends in a tie, a 3-minute overtime 3v3 will commence. If no score after overtime, there will be a 3-man shootout for final point. Same overtime process for semi-final and final.

Tiebreaker:

1.Head-to-head

2.Goal differential

3.Goal differential quotient

Running clock will take place if/once there is an 8-goal differential. No curfew clock will be in effect for all games. Max score differential will be 10. (for example, if score ends 12-0, the official score in the standings will be 10-0)

Home team will wear light color jersey, away team will wear dark color.

Gameplay Rules:

Unless otherwise specified below, Michigan Amateur Youth Hockey League does hereby adopt the National Federation of High School playing rules with the following exceptions. 5.1.2 Equipment: Safety to our players being of paramount importance, all players are required to wear full ice hockey equipment, including properly labeled and non-expired ice hockey helmets with full gage or visor.

3 minute warm up

•Clock will begin once all players have got onto the ice

•Pucks for warmups will be provided

12-minute periods

•1 Timeout per team per game

1:30 minor penalties

4 min major penalties

Whistle for icing on penalties, faceoff in penalty kill team’s zone

Offsides: Delayed tag up offsides
